seeing red

my latest thing is beets...
beets and perogies...

it's so fun to cook beets. i cleave them into manageable pieces, pop them into the rice cooker and everything in the kitchen is red.

i'm also all done with my little projects and am ready to start something new. My piece on addiction has gone through the final edits and will be picked up by the Tyee sometime soon. I should be able to post it here too.
i also got my taxes done, and should be getting a good chunk of money back...i might buy a new computer...

but if i do that...we all know it will just be so that i can play the latest video games...so maybe i shouldn't.

so what health/science issue should i write about this summer?

if i build on previous work then i would focus on the issue of using and mis-using 'race' in genetics and medicine.

or

a series related to advances and issues around addiction.

both good topics to write about i think...but maybe i should start fresh...
maybe something about the science of beets
