mixmaster

i just finished making a mixtape for someone i know in toronto with a birthday coming up soon.

it was so much fun

but i couldn't get too fancy cause i don't have a mixer. at most i could only watch the counter carefully and raise and lower the recording level on the tape deck...well technically i do have a borrowed mixer, just none of the cables for it...

i haven't made a mixtape for years and years...

the only theme on this one was that none of the source recording could be digital....although i did cheat slightly...
i have a tape that i used a track from which was taped from a CD played over the radio. i figure it qualifies since there are two degrees of separation from the digital source.

i'm toying with the idea of making mixtapes on a more regular basis now...for me and others.

hmm...but then i'll have to get more gear...

and in other news.....

the kitchen is clean, neil young is singing 'unknown legend' through my computer, the little bell of the instant messenger is going off, and next on the agenda is cleaning the living room.
