Christmas loot

i hope everyone had a merry Christmas.

it’s been relaxed around here, a nice sleepy and snowy Christmas with food, lots of food, SO MUCH FOOD.

my belly will gain mass and volume, this is a certainty.

i’ve attempted to fend off the holiday pounds by semi-daily jogs on my parent’s treadmill.
it’s boring to run on a treadmill…but outside is too slick

my Christmas loot was mostly chocolate and kitchen towels courtesy of Mama. one set of yellow, white, and blue with marigolds complete with rings so you can hang them off kitchen cupboards, and one set blue knit.
her thinking (so i am told) is that kitchen towels will aid in keeping my kitchen clean in order to impress upon lady visitors that i am suitable for marriage.

my brother and sister-in-law got me a stone bowl/pot for cooking. i haven’t tried it out yet, but it’s nice and heavy and looks cool.

my sister got me a set of guinness cork coasters.

there was also the customary Christmas money from the parents.
and Mama got me few books by authors i’d never heard of. they are evidently linked to a neurosurgeon turned journalist and author. i’m thinking they are to ensure both me and my mother that I can make a go out of my career switch…
