last wave
Firstwave music; a Vancouver rock'n'roll institution is getting torn down and turned into condos.
1620 w 7th, a furniture factory turned rock space with 4 lockout spaces for bands as well as three rooms that you could book any day of the week after 6pm for 3 hrs for $22. that would include a beat up drum kit, a PA, and a mic that smelled like ass.
it was also the first place where my band, Hefe, rehearsed at. and we stayed there for a good 3 years.
i went down there before i went away on holidays and took some pictures to document the dingy dirty building where so many fond memories and good music were birthed.
the photos are in the gallery...

Learn to define your own reality, J. Then this sort of thing doesn't happen.

yes ass, they smelt disgusting.
when i still didn't have my own microphone i would bring in antibacterial wipes to sanitize the microphones before i used them.
actually i still do that to my own microphone from time to time...
my microphone doesn't stink.

In my reality, you understood that. So I don't need to explain myself.

I like that.... "In *my* reality"....
Well in *MY* reality, Jeff's mic smells like ass, even with his precious anti-fungal wipes.....
