i know i've been distant.

my only excuse, and it's not a very good one, is that i have been busy with the thesis and HEFE stuff.

there was the show we did at the Railway, and finishing up bits and bobs for our first recording, and our upcoming mardi gras show at Pub 340

the Railway show was one of the best we've done.
our first recording entitled Grande will be pressed and packaged by the end of the week.
and the mardi gras show is going to be amazing, but there were a few trip-ups on the promotion end that were a headache...

now it's all systems go, but i've been getting tired of all the promotion/packaging stuff that i've been doing for Hefe recently...and i'm sure the other guys are tired of it too. i think we all want to just rock out and forget about promoting a show for awhile after the big mardi gras show.
working on new songs would be nice too...

i don't like it when my creative musical outlet starts feeling like work...

as far as the thesis is concerned...

it is coming along, but i'm not where i want to be with it yet. there is also the distinct possibility that the series will be 2 articles rather than 4.

don't worry momma, school still comes before rock'n'roll...most of the time.

Gravel amused me. There are some definite catchy parts to it, even beyond the topic.

Disc done when? Going to be on sale through Myspace? etc.

yeah well i only felt like the song 'gravel' when i was in high school...it's a teen angst song...it just seemed to go with the rift that my guitar player at the time, Andy, came up with.
now i really like to go back to 'nowhere'.
