It is Spring!

Granted it has been spring here in Vancouver for awhile, but it is really playing the part here now. The sun is shining and the first round of blossoms are out in full force.

It’s nice...i’m starting to lug around my camera again...hence the new pictures.

I’m also making progress on the thesis project. The first article is practically done, just a few touch ups. The second article is coming together, although all i’ve done so far is sketch out ideas and do interviews.

But i still find too many things to distract me. My latest vice has been watching movies and TV shows on the internet. In a way it’s even worse than having cable. If it’s an old series where someone has uploaded the whole thing, then you don’t have to wait a week to see the next episode. You just keep watching one episode after another...

Most of the shows i can find are foreign shows that have been subtitled by fans, but I also know a place you can sometimes find new movies.

DANGEROUS

Which brings me to another problem, which i am being proactive in combating. I work at a computer and I often play at a computer too. All that time in front of a computer is making me get a big butt and go batty.

So i’m working at home more, where there are always little things to clean or do that don’t involve the computer. I also got a DJ mixer that i’m now running my computer, record player, tape player, and CD player through. The idea being that i’ll now make mix tapes for people in my down time rather than watch internet TV or play video games.

I’m not sure if it will work...but I already have two mix tapes to make for people...if anyone else out there wants one let me know.
