article 2 draft 56
(another picture i took at the lab with the liposomes)
really it's only been 9 drafts since the last post, not 55. the first full draft occurred at save #47
...well not really, but i'm not counting the first first draft because i completely shifted direction for the piece since then.
i write like those graphics that load one level of resolution at a time.
i know i know i know, i should have been done before now...
i lost some momentum waiting for interviews. the last one i did on monday, but i got the quote for the ending over the phone on tuesday.
the 'hard' editing, the changing-focus-rewrites-and-shuffles, is done. now all that's left is to polish and trim.
i also have to admit that i've not held up my no-fun-until-thesis-is-done policy. I didn't work most of the day on wednesday. a lunch with my friend Michelle turned into walking and biking around town together in the lazy hazy heat of a summer day.
but getting outside is good for me.
I am also proud to announce a new Helm entered the world on June 25th. My brother Jon and his wife Marya had a healthy baby girl, Amalie.
I'm looking forward to being known as crazy uncle jeffrey...
