HEFE

the wall loved it

they were not ready for HEFE.

we did the grad orientation ale tasting last night.

when we first got there, the sound guy said he was planning on having the Steve and Jan play from their pedals into the PA.

ya right! if you want to get electrical burns from the sound system burning up!

obviously they were not used to rock bands, i suspect they usually do that acoustic balladeer slop.

we had around 10 people and a very attentive wall to play for. everyone else was outside where apparently some people didn’t even realize that a band was playing...they thought it was canned music.

but if they visited the washrooms they knew a band was playing...we were right in the middle of the pub facing the washrooms and entrance.

i enjoyed watching people enter into our wall of sound and wince as if they were smacked in the face.

it was our worst HEFE show to date.

although Steve and Rich, both veterans of rock, say they have had much much worse.

Rich told me a story of when we was touring and his band was playing for one bar tender in an empty club.

ah well...we got paid, and all the staff we worked with were very nice.

i guess this is what you get when the people are not there for the music....
